On November 26 and 27, 2024, His Eminence Archbishop Theofan of Korea took part in the round table “The Russian Orthodox Church and Compatriots: Experience of Cooperation in Asian Countries and Australia”, held as part of the conference from November 25-29, 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. Hierarchs, numerous clergy and laity took part.

The round table was chaired by the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, His Eminence Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk.

The issues of pastoral care for Russian compatriots abroad were discussed. Russian church communities in other countries help to adapt to the new cultural environment, while preserving their national identity.
