Opening of a new parish in Incheon. First Divine Liturgy.

A new parish of the Korean Diocese has been opened in Incheon, the third most populous city in South Korea. On December 8, 2024, on the 24th Sunday after Pentecost, Archbishop Theofan of Korea served the first Divine Liturgy in the newly formed parish. The parish was named in honor of All Saints.

The service was attended by Orthodox believers living in Incheon and the nearby cities of Ansan, Gimpo and Bucheon, at whose request the parish was opened. After the decision was made to open the parish, the parishioners quickly found a place to hold services, installed a temporary iconostasis, and purchased the necessary utensils. The premises for the services were rented in the Russian-speaking quarter of Incheon, where a significant number of people from the CIS countries live.

Before the Liturgy, a prayer service was held with the blessing of water, at the end of which the walls of the church building were sprinkled with holy water.

Hierodeacon Nektariy (Lim) co-served with His Eminence, and most of the believers began to received the Holy Mysteries.

At the end of the Liturgy, the archpastor gave a sermon and thanked everyone for their help in opening and equipping the new parish.
