On February 10, 2025, on Diplomatic Worker’s Day, the Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea G.V. Zinoviev, together with employees of the Embassy, the military attache’s office and the Trade Mission of Russia visited the Yanghwajin city missionary cemetery in Seoul.

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Theofan of Korea, Hieromonk Pavel (Choi) performed a funeral litany at the grave of Sergei Vissarionovich Chirkin, a diplomat of the Russian Empire who served in the Russian Mission in Seoul in 1911-1914.

After the litany, Russian representatives, along with Father Pavel, laid flowers on the grave.
