
On September 4, 2025, on the day of remembrance of the holy martyrs Agathonik and those with him and the martyr Lupp, Archbishop Theofan of Korea, administrator of the Kyzyl diocese, served the Divine Liturgy in the Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander-Svirsky Monastery.
His Eminence co-served with the abbot of the monastery, Hegumen Anthony (Gutnik), the clergy of the monastery, and also the pilgrims who had arrived in holy orders.
After the service, Archbishop Theofan expressed gratitude to the abbot and the brethren of the monastery for their hospitality, the opportunity to serve together and pray. In memory of his visit to the monastery, the abbot presented the Archbishop with an icon of the appearance of the Holy Trinity to the Venerable Alexander of Svir.
Archbishop Theofan makes a pilgrimage to the monasteries of the Novgorod and St. Petersburg Metropolitanate. His Eminence is accompanied on the trip by pilgrims from Korea and Tuva.
