On November 20, 2025, an event dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea was held at the Samcheonggak Cultural Complex in Seoul. The event was organized at the initiative of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Korea and the Korea-Russia Friendship Society (한러친선협회).

The event began with welcoming speeches from Son Kyung-sik (손경식 회장), Chairman of the Korean-Russian Friendship Society; Moon Jeong-geum (문종금 이사장), President of the Society; and Georgy V. Zinoviev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Korea; along with representatives of various South Korean organizations with political, economic, and diplomatic ties to Russia.

Following the welcoming speeches, short documentaries about the activities of the Korean-Russian Friendship Society were shown, followed by an evening dinner, accompanied by a concert by South Korean musicians.

Hieromonk Paul (Choi) participated in the event on behalf of the Korean Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, with the blessing of Archbishop Theofan of Korea. During the event, Father Paul met with employees of Russian institutions in the Republic of Korea, South Korean political figures, entrepreneurs, artists, and religious leaders.
