A cleric of the Korean Diocese participated in the 10th Russian Evening in Seoul.

On December 11, 2025, the 10th Russian Evening was held at the La Vie Douce Ceremonial Hall in the Jung-gu District of Seoul. It was organized at the initiative of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Korea and the Korea-Russia Business Council (KRBC). The event has become a long-standing New Year’s tradition, bringing together representatives of political, business, academic, and cultural circles working to advance Russian-Korean relations.

Park Chung-ho (박종호), President of the Korea-Russia Business Council, and Georgy V. Zinoviev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Korea, addressed the audience with welcoming addresses. They summarized the past year, noted ongoing initiatives in economic and humanitarian cooperation, and expressed gratitude to all those working to strengthen bilateral ties.

Following the official part, a concert was held featuring Russian and South Korean musical performers, including the children’s ensemble “Moskovia.”

The significance of the evening was emphasized by the presence of Alexander Viktorovich Vedernikov, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk Region, who was in the Republic of Korea on a business visit, and Lee To-hun (이도훈), former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in the Russian Federation.

With the blessing of His Eminence Theofan, Archbishop of Korea, the Korean Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church was represented at the event by Hieromonk Paul (Choi), a cleric of the Diocese.
